Welcome to my home page, My name is Andy Berryman and AJB Driving Lessons is my driving school,. I am a GRADE A instructor based on the Isle of Wight. Please check out the courses I offer and my special offers. I have been teaching people to drive since 2003 on the Isle of Wight and in and around Southampton. I am a very patient instructor and am available most weekdays . I have a high pass rate and also offer extremely good value for money.

I mainly cover the southern region of the Isle of Wight. Most of my learners coming from the Ventnor, Whitwell, Wroxall and Niton area's, Shanklin and Newport are also fine. Feel free to check that I cover your area. I do mainly TWO hour lessons.

A lot of Isle of Wight driving schools ask learners to meet in Newport, but

I pick up and drop off at your home (in the areas I cover).   VERY HAPPY TO PICK UP AND DROP OFF IN VENTNOR !!

Logistically...Ryde and Cowes and East Cowes are difficult for me, because of time and distance, as they are too far out of my region, so I no longer cover those areas unfortunately or Bembridge, Seaview and Brading (Too Far). But will meet in Newport.

Obviously, all of the test routes start and finish in Newport, if you live in the Ventnor area (or a similar distance from Newport) a one hour lesson will not work, for this reason only two hour lessons should be booked, my two hour lessons are probably the most competitive on the Isle of Wight.

I also do THREE HOUR LESSONS, great if you want to speed up learning !!

INTENSIVE AND SEMI INTENSIVE COURSES CAN BE ARRANGED, MESSAGE ME FOR AVAILABILITY AND PRICES.

I AM AVAILABLE ON WEEKDAYS (MONDAY TO FRIDAY) 8.30am UNTIL 6.00pm  .... NEW FOR 2024 WILL BE VERY LIMITED SUNDAY LESSONS, AT A SLIGHTLY HIGHER RATE BUT STILL GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY.

Please Note.. If you wish to cancel a lesson that you have booked, you will need to give 48 hours notice to cancel, If you do not... the lesson MUST be paid for. There are no exceptions. Thank you for your co-operation.

Payment for your lessons can be done by bank transfer the day before the lesson, this is the most popular method.

You can also pay by Debit/Credit Card at the start of a lesson, a small 2.5% charge is added to the lesson price because mobile card readers incur charges.

You can also pay by cash of course.

No cheques

With AJB Driving Lessons, you have the choice of manual or automatic driving lessons, both tuition vehicles have climate controlled air conditioning and are dual controlled for your safety whilst in the early stages of learning. The manual car is a Kia Cee'd 1.6 GT line, six speed manual, equipped with parking sensors and reversing camera, which is both stylish and comfortable to drive. The Automatic car is a BMW Mini Cooper 1.6 Petrol , A smart and very easy to drive car, and being an automatic, this car makes learning to drive a real pleasure.  Both these cars are eco friendly low emission vehicles.

If you are looking for an intensive course, I am happy to do them, if I can fit them in (not always possible). Semi Intensive courses are preferred. For a number of years I was franchised to a school who specialised in one week and semi intensive courses.  I have done many of these with great success.
